Arrive in Seattle |
Arrive in the Emerald city and pick up your rental car. Take some time to enjoy the city before embarking on your Pacific Northwest road trip. You could visit world famous Pike Place market and sample some of the fresh seafood, take a trip up the space needle and check out the gorgeous view of the Puget Sound or even take a tour of Seattle's underground.

Day 2 |
Visit Mt. Rainier National Park |
Head out to wonderful Mt Rainier National Park today. Mt Rainier is iconic in the Washington landscape towering at 14,410ft and is the most glaciated peak in the lower 48. Enjoy the spectacular subalpine scenery and if you are here in the spring time the wildflower blooms are glorious! Wildlife also abounds here and you will feel as though you are in the midst of a David Attenborough documentary.

Day 3 |
Head towards the Olympic Coast |
Today you leave behind the alpine wonderland and head to the temperate rainforests found in Olympic National Park where big Douglas firs, western red cedar and pacific silver fir dominate the canopy. Here you can hire canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddleboards on Lake Quinalt or go for a walk in the lush rainforest.

Day 4 |
Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach |
Not too many miles to cover today so take your time at breakfast. Today you will be heading to the Hoh Rainforest which is one of the largest temperate rainforests in the America. This other-worldly place owes it lushness to over 12ft of rain annually. Mosses and ferns blanket the surfaces adding to the enchantment of the forest. Take a walk down the Hall of Mosses and dip your feet in the glacial river. On your way to get here stop at rugged Ruby Beach, a storm lashed beach with strewn logs and wild surf.

Whidbey Island and North Cascades National Park |
Today you will catch the ferry across to beautiful Whidbey Island and will cross Deception Pass Bridge on your way to the North Cascades National Park. The North Cascades is often dubbed the 'American Alps' for it's glacier-clad peaks rising almost vertically from thickly forested valleys, Drive out to the Diablo Lake overlook to take pictures of the stunning lake below. That gorgeous green is caused by tiny rock particles eroded by the ice
