Recently we spent a few days vacationing in San Diego with a close friend of ours. Even though we don't usually splurge on fancy hotels, this time was different. We decided to treat ourselves at one of the nicest resorts in San Diego after living in our van for a few months.
PARADISE POINT RESORT & SPA
Paradise Point Resort & Spa really is paradise! The resort itself is situated on 44 lush acres on its own island. The resort made us feel as though we were back at home in tropical Queensland (Australia for those of you who don't know where Queensland is).
There are 5 swimming pools and jacuzzi's so you are bound to find one you can spend alone time in with your significant other. The resort also caters for children with many activities that will keep them plenty busy; bicycle rentals, a basketball court, and they even put on outdoor movies in the main pool area on Saturday nights for them.
The place is so amazing that you probably won't want to leave the resort to go sightseeing at all! Which was really a good thing for us because we had no desire to explore San Diego this time around, we just wanted to spend quality time with our friend.
One of the best things about staying here is the resorts location. Because Paradise Point Resort is situated on an island, it has its very own beach with white sand and 14 bonfire pits... perfect for those winter nights.
There are plenty of water activities and you can hire jet ski's, sail boats, speed boats or stand up paddleboards. Most people that come to holiday in San Diego all have plans to visit Sea World so you will be happy to know that Sea World is located less than 2 miles away!
5 pools including an adults only pool
5 tennis courts
18 hole putting golf course
14 bonfire pits
Marina with boat rentals
Multiple dining options
Luxury spa and salon
Getting to Paradise Point Resort & Spa
As mentioned previously, Paradise Point Resort & Spa is located on it’s own island aptly named Vacation Isle. The resort is only a few minutes drive from popular Mission Beach and only two miles from Sea World San Diego.
From San Diego Airport it is only 5.2 miles away so catching an Uber will not be so expensive. Alternatively you can organize an airport shuttle bus to pick you up and drop you off at your destination.
